Highlights
My absolute favorite hobby is writing manuscripts and working on books. For this project, I had the opportunity to work with a small publisher in New York on an exclusive-rights book deal with Five Below. It was mid-lockdown when I started writing, and I knew that the audience would be children through teens, so I structured it like a guided journal with prompts designed to evoke creativity and curiosity. The best part is that most of the activities in the book don't require any money or transportation to participate, and many can be done from the comfort of home. I was also fortunate to have Julieta Gutnisky illustrate the book, which added an extra special touch. This was published in March 2021. It's been an incredibly rewarding experience to have young readers reach out and tell me how much fun they've had completing prompts.
